Intercepter Security Device ~ new; in the box. Security protection that stops intruders without the monthly fee or delay for the security monitoring company to contact police, etc. Using a passive infrared detection system, this unit is a self-contained electronic OC anti-burglary system. It is compact and can be installed in minutes, with no electrical experience required. The unit can be used for areas up to 2,000 square feet and, when triggered, releases 4 ounces of irritating OC pepper spray to stop an intruder in seconds.

The infrared detector uses a two zone concept and intelligent circuitry to protect against false alarms. The intruder must penetrate both zones to trigger the unit. The second zone must be encountered between .4 and 6 seconds after the first zone in order to register as an intrusion. If both zones register simultaneously or the second zone is not triggered/triggered more than 6 seconds after the first, the unit concludes that the encounter was a false alarm and cancels the signal. With its intelligent circuitry, real intruders are detected and false firing is eliminated.

Features: Armored Housed of a high-strength, cast aluminum/alloy case. Compact and unobtrusive, the case can be painted/papered to blend into any setting. Needs no external wiring and is not affected by power outages. Operates up to 4 years on a set of 8 "C" cell batteries. Canister can be reloaded in seconds, without tools. Includes both a key switch and a concealed manually-activated on/off switch. 0 - 40 second adjustable entry time delay with non-directional, high pitched warning tone to remind forgetful owners to switch the unit off. Impossible for intruders to trace the sound to it's source. Battery test circuit. Includes 60 second exit time delay. Terminal block for wiring to remote detectors. Will operate any number of Repulsar units as accessories (wiring required). Includes 12 volt output for options and accessories. Includes automatic reset. (Not for use in automobiles or aircraft).
